The Voice Within Studio LLC: Carol has a BM and MM degrees in vocal performance from the Peabody Conservatory. She is certified in several methods of teaching Contemporary Commercial Music vocal technique. A successful private voice teacher for 27 years, Carol has guided the growth of many exceptional students. Several cast members of the National Tour of The Lion King studied with Carol. She worked with Mike Smith, lead guitarist from the band Limp Bizkit on his vocals on recordings for his band Evolver. An expert on adolescent voices, numerous teenage students have won competitions and gone on to be music majors in college. She was the vocal coach for Episode 8 House of Cards and coached Kevin Spacey and 7 other actors as well as arranging all of the songs. Carol has an active performing career. She sang with the Baltimore Opera for 12 seasons, and roles with regional opera companies around the country. A performer of traditional Celtic music in which she accompanies her vocals on Celtic Harp. She was the lead singer and keyboard player in several Baltimore rock bands including Candy and the Conspiracy and Radman West. Member National Association of Teachers of Singing
